Furthermore, for the smaller bunny keychain size Amigurumi, I used sport weight cotton yarn, while for the larger version (see photo below), I used for chenille Super Bulky plush yarn.

Materials:
These are the materials that I used for this bunny You can replace them with other materials. If you wish to crochet a larger or smaller version of this mini bunny keychain, you can just use a thicker or thinner yarn/crochet hook.

Cotton Sport Weight version 5 cm / 2 inch:
– Blue Schachemayer catania: 409 or Grey Schachemayer catania: 172
– Black Schachemayer catania: 110
– Synthetic Poly Filling
Crochet hook size 2.5 mm

Chenille Super Bulky version 12 cm / 5 inch:
– Pink Chenille yarn or Grey Chenille yarn
– Black Chenille yarn
– Synthetic Poly Filling
Crochet hook size 5.0 mm

Search for a similar chenille yarn you can buy near you on YARNSUB

Supplies:
– Scissors
Tapestry needles with blunt point, nr. 1
– Pins

TIP: Are you using are using Blanket yarn? Then I recommend a 8.0 mm crochet hook.
For Super Bulky Chenille yarn I recommend a 5.0 mm crochet hook.

Rnd: Round
st: stitch
sc: single crochet
sl st: slip stitch
dec: decrease
inc: increase

Free Bunny Crochet Pattern:

First Ear:

  • Use pink yarn
  • Rnd 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
  • Rnd 2: (sc, inc in next st) repeat 3 times (9)
  • Rnd 3: sc in all 9 st (9)
  • Rnd 4: (sc in next st, dec) repeat 3 times (6)
  • Rnd 5: sc in all 6 st (6)
  • Fasten off with a slst

Second Ear:

  • Use pink yarn
  • Rnd 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
  • Rnd 2: (sc, inc in next st) repeat 3 times (9)
  • Rnd 3: sc in all 9 st (9)
  • Rnd 4: (sc in next st, dec) repeat 3 times (6)
  • Rnd 5: sc in all 6 st (6)
  • Rnd 6: sc in next 3 st, ch 3, (continue crochet in first ear, start in the first st of the last round) sc in all 6 st, sc in the 3 ch (photo 1+2), (continue in the second ear) sc in next 3 st (18)

  • Rnd 7: (inc, sc in next 8 st) repeat 2 times (20) (in this round you will crochet in the back of the chain, photo 3)
  • Rnd 8: (inc, sc in next 9 st) repeat 2 times (22)
  • Rnd 9: sc in next st, inc, sc in next 10 st, inc, sc in next 9 st (24)
  • Mark the the 9th & 14th stitch with a piece of yarn
  • Rnd 10: (inc, sc in next 3 st) repeat 6 times (30)
  • Rnd 11-14: sc in all 30 st (30)

  • Rnd 15: (sc in next 3 st, dec) repeat 6 times (24)
  • Rnd 16: (sc in next 2 st, dec) repeat 6 times (18)
  • Rnd 17:  (sc in next st, dec) repeat 6 times (12)
  • Stuff the body with fiber filling.
  • Rnd 18: dec 6 times (6)
  • First fasten off, leaving a yarn tail. Then using your yarn needle, weave the yarn tail through the front loop of each remaining stitch and pull it tight to close. Weave in the yarn end.

Feet 2:

  • Use pink yarn
  • Rnd 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
  • Rnd 2: sc in all 6 st (6)
  • Fasten off with a slst, leaving a long tail for sewing.

  • First sew round 2 of the flattened feet on round 15 with 3 stitches between the feet.  Then fold them up and sew them against the body.

Tail:

  • Use pink yarn
  • Rnd 1: start 5 sc in a magic ring (5)
  • Rnd 2: sc in all 5 st (5)
  • Fasten off with a slst, leaving a long tail for sewing.
  • Sew the tail on the back of the body on rounds 14 and 15.
