Strawberry Keychain Amigurumi
Crochet a very cute fruit plushie Amigurumi keychain with this free strawberry crochet pattern, including and easy full video tutorial for beginners that are learning how to crochet.
This cute strawberry can be made with any yarn that you like. With Sport Weight cotton yarn I made a keychain size strawberry , mine is hanging on my bag now, it is so cute! The bigger strawberry was made with Super Bulky Chenille yarn, which creates an adorable soft plushie fruit.
This is a very quick to crochet Amigurumi pattern, you can make one in less than an hour. A great project for left over yarn.

Basic Stitches Tutorial

Materials:
These are the materials that I used. However, feel free to replace them with other materials of your choice. Furthermore, if you wish to crochet a larger or smaller version of this toy plushie using this free strawberry amigurumi crochet pattern, you can simply use a thicker or thinner yarn and crochet hook.
Cotton Sport Weight version 4 cm / 2 inch:
– Yarn and Colors Must Have Red cotton color: 032
– Yarn and Colors Must Have Green cotton color: 123
– Yarn and Colors Must Have White cotton color: 001
– Yarn and Colors Must Have Black cotton color: 100
– Synthetic Poly Filling
– Crochet hook size 2.5 mm
Chenille Super Bulky version 10 cm / 4 inch:
– Red, Green, Black and White Chenille yarn
– Synthetic Poly Filling
– Crochet hook size 5.0 mm

Supplies:
– Scissors
– Tapestry needles with blunt point, nr. 16 or 17
– Pins
TIP: Are you using are using Blanket yarn? Then I recommend a 8 mm crochet hook.

Rnd: Round
st: stitch
sc: single crochet
sl st: slip stitch
dec: decrease
inc: increase

Free Strawberry Crochet Pattern
Strawberry:
- Use red yarn
- Rnd 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
- Rnd 2: (sc, inc in next st) repeat 3 times (9)
- Rnd 3: (sc in next 2 st, inc in next st) repeat 3 times (12)
- Rnd 4: (sc, inc in next st) repeat 6 times (18)
- Rnd 5: sc in all 18 st (18)
- Rnd 6: (sc in next 2 st, inc in next st) repeat 6 times (24)
- Rnd 7-9: sc in all 24 st (24)
- Rnd 10: (sc in next 2 st, dec) repeat 6 times (18)
- If you want your strawberry to have a face, embroider two eyes with black yarn over rounds 7 and 8, with an interspace of 5 stitches (photo 1-2).
- With black yarn embroider a small mouth (one stitch wide) between rounds 6 and 7 (photo 3-4).
- Stuff the strawberry with fiberfill and continue stuffing as you go.
- Rnd 11: (sc in next st, dec) repeat 6 times (12)
- Rnd 12: dec 6 times (6)
- Fasten off, leaving a yarn tail. Using your yarn needle, weave the yarn tail through the front loop of each remaining stitch and pull it tight to close. Weave in the yarn end.
- With white yarn embroider small stripes on the strawberry (photo 5).
Strawberry leaves:
- Use green yarn
- Rnd 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
- Rnd 2: (slst in next st, ch 3, start in second chain from hook (photo 6), sl st in next st, sc in next st (photo 7)) repeat 6 times (6)
- Fasten off
- Sew the strawberry leaves on top of the strawberry.
- If you want to turn this strawberry into a keychain, attach a keychain with a jumpring to the top of the strawberry.
