These are the materials that I used for this snowman. You can replace them with other materials. If you wish to crochet a larger or smaller version of this snowman pattern you can just use a thicker or thinner yarn/crochet hook.

Cotton Sport Weight version 9 cm / 4 inch:
– White Yarn and Colors must have color 001 – 15 gram
– Red Yarn and Colors must have color 031 – 5 gram
– Black Yarn and Colors must have color 100 – 5 gram
– Orange Yarn and Colors must have color 016 – 5 gram
– Safety eyes 7 mm

TIP: Are you using are using Blanket yarn? Then I recommend a 8.0 mm crochet hook.
For Bulky Velvet yarn I recommend a 3.5 mm crochet hook.

- Rnd 4: (sc in next 3 st, inc in next st) repeat 6 times (30)
- Rnd 5: sc in all 30 st (30)
- Rnd 6: (sc in next 4 st, inc in next st) repeat 6 times (36)
- Rnd 7-10: sc in all 36 st (36)
- Insert the safety eyes between rounds 7 and 8, with an interspace of 7 stitches.
- Rnd 11: (sc in next 4 st, dec) repeat 6 times (30)
- Rnd 12: (sc in next 3 st, dec) repeat 6 times (24)

- Put stuffing in the head.

Nose:
- Use orange yarn
- Rnd 1: start 4 sc in a magic ring (4)
- Rnd 2: (sc, inc in next st) repeat 2 times (6)
- Rnd 3: sc in all 6 st (6)
- Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Do not put stuffing in the nose, to keep it pointy. Sew the nose between the eyes, between rounds 6 and 9.
Arms 2x:
- Use white yarn
- Rnd 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
- Rnd 2: (sc in next st, inc in next st) repeat 3 times (9)
- Rnd 3-4: sc in all 9 st (9)
- Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Put some stuffing in the arms. Sew the arms on the side of the body, between rounds 15 and 19.
Scarf:
- Use red yarn
- Ch 47. Crochet in rows.
- Row 1: start in third ch from hook, hdc in next 45 ch (45)

- Finish the ball by taking the last strand of yarn and sewing it through the front loops of every crochet stitch that you made in the last round. Pull the yarn tight to close the hole.
- Sew the ball on top of the hat.
